I want to quickly list FIVE things I am overwhelmed with gratefulness for this morning. God has really been working on me and my old heart lately and I want to share that with you…
Why I am “Overwhelmed with Gratefulness!”
1. JESUS – Oh Lord, You are good. Thank you. The more time we spend together, the more I fall madly in love with You. You are my life. Your friendship over the last several months has sustained me in one of the most trying times of my faith. I love You.
2. MY FAMILY – Wow! I love you LuAnne. How you put up with me I will never know. What a precious GIFT from the Lord. So longing to drink that glass of lemonade on the porch in a rocking chair together. (FYF) – Mary Lindsey… Thank you for trusting Jesus with your heart and soul. That has been my goal all of your life, to show you Jesus. So proud and grateful that you found Him and are seeking Him. You have my heart “May May”, “Taz”, “Gary Jr.”… And for ALL the rest of you, thanks for encouraging me to seek Jesus and His will for my life. I found it. (Even though it took 35 years) Thank you for loving me even when I was unlovable. I love you and I am very grateful for you.
3. TEMPLE BAPTIST CHURCH – You loved me and allowed me to love you. I want you to know that I counted it an honor that the Lord placed me at Temple to serve you as one of your pastors.
4. BRODERICK PARROTT – Friend, I thank my God for you. You have taught me more about FAITH by your life than anything else. You are for sure a man of God. I want you to know that I love you. I thank you, that in a time of trail and tribulation, you have honored God. I pray that all Christians would honor the Lord as you have done. Oh the fun we will share for eternity by your example of life. Your rewards for faithfulness are many… God Bless you and Keep you.
5. FRIENDS – I have the greatest friends in the world. I am such a blessed man. I think back to as far as I can remember and all I have had is good friends. Some may be enemies now but I still love you…LOL – Thank you for loving me. Thank you for supporting me and the ministry the Lord has given and called me to do.
I just felt overwhelmed this morning to tell you all how grateful I am that you are a part of my life. Jesus said that the world would know that you are my disciples by your love for one another. Well, I love you. It’s really as simple as that.
